Terms of Service

Last updated 12 October 2026 · Draft — pending final legal review

Aegis Path is provided by Virtus Nemeton. By creating an account or using Aegis Path, you agree to these terms.

1. What Aegis Path is

Aegis Path is a personal health-organisation tool. It helps you record medication and appointments, set reminders, keep a private journal, and share selected information with people you invite. It is non-diagnostic. It does not provide medical advice, therapy, prescribing or dose guidance, and does not replace your GP, pharmacist or other healthcare professional.

Emergencies

Aegis Path is not an emergency service. It does not monitor your entries, reminders or messages and cannot respond to them. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent help, use NHS 111 online or call 111. See Get urgent help.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Any future connection to external health services will be separately explained and subject to the relevant approvals and terms.

3. Carer access

You control who can see your data. Someone you invite must accept from their own account, and then gets view-only access to the information covered by your sharing choices. They cannot change your records or act on your behalf. You can change or remove access at any time from My circle, and it takes effect immediately. Your journal is never shared. Messages between you are a permanent, shared record that cannot be edited or deleted while the account exists.

4. Reminders and prompts

Reminders are based on the times you set. They may not arrive if your device is off, offline, or Aegis Path is closed, so keep your usual routine as a back-up. Reminders do not tell you what to do about a missed dose; ask your pharmacist or NHS 111. Any future automated feature will be explained first and will not provide clinical guidance.

Price

Each account costs £3 per month, including carers' accounts, and each person manages only their own subscription. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial that needs no card. Nothing is charged unless you add a card, and never before your trial ends. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If your plan ends, you can still read and export your records. Urgent-help information, data export and deletion never require payment.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Aegis Path to store or share information you don't have the right to, attempt to access another person's account, or interfere with the service's normal operation.

6. Changes and termination

We may update these terms as Aegis Path develops; material changes will be flagged in-app. You can close your account at any time; see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
